Dortmund Congratulate Their Assistant Coach Otto Addo On Ghana’s World Cup Qualification

The Germans Bundies Liga football club Dortmund have congratulated their formal assistant coach Otto Addo for qualifying Ghana Black Stars to the 2022 World Cup finals.

After the sacking of the formal coach Milovan Rajevac, Otto Addo was appointed as the Black Stars’ interim coach to manage the World Cup play-off match against rivals the super eagles of Nigeria.

Otoo Addo’s side drew 0-0 in the first leg encounter in Kumasi Baba Yara stadium last Friday before earning an important 1-1 draw in Moshood stadium in Abuja on Tuesday to qualify for Qatar.

The Ghana Football Association could asign Otoo Addo to be on the job as coach on a permanently, however for that to be possible the coach would have to give up his position at Dortmund to fully focus on the Black Stars as the manager.

After failing to qualify for the 2018 edition of the world cup in Russia, the Black Stars have come back to the world's showpiece. Even though there is more to be added to make the team a solid one to contest in the tournament.

Ghana had initially been involved in three consecutive World Cups between 2006 and 2014.

Ghana’s incredible World Cup performance came in 2010 when the team made it to the quarterfinals.

It is with much expectations that they will try to break that record in November when they travel to Qatar for the tournament.
