The Division One League has gotten the best of players in the league making them eligible to compete for every thing in the FA Cup tournament. The Division One teams are facing off with the premier league teams in the round of 16.
These have been the usual fixtures that eliminate the big teams to progress to the next level. We have witnessed an unprecedented Okwahu United side playing against Bechem United in 2016, at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The is why the PRO for the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo stated that, this is why it is classified as ‘Obiaa nye Obiaa’ tournament. Looking at the fixtures that came out saw Kotoko vrs Asokwa Deportivo, Hearts of Oak vrs Accra Young Wise, Aduana Stars vrs Ashgold FC et al.
The rest of the fixtures are given in the pictures above to show how the teams have to prepare for their matches. The tournament doesn’t look favourable to any team that want to manage games to get the trophy.
The Northern Zone is playing among themselves, before they move on to the round of 8 as the same thing applies to the the Southern Zone which consist of the Accra based teams and it’s surrounding.
