Black Stars head coach Otto Addo rigged changes to the line up that started against Brazil last Friday in France. Notable faces such as skippe Dede Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew are on the bench for Black Stars. Some players have been injured after the previous match.
The two teams did not look promising following the commencement of the game. They did not exhibit any intent to get goals as they kept the tempo of the game low.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku got the game going by netting a goal for Ghana to separate the two sides. His goal arrived in the 35th minute.
Nicaragua tried to equalize but that was unsuccessful as Black Stars of Ghana played to protect their lead.
