Champions league football never disappoints as it continues to bring alot of excitement. We saw the the first leg of the semi finals come off on Tuesday night and Wednesday night. The two English teams left in the Champions league surprised their opponents with a masterclass performance.
Real Madrid hosted Chelsea in Spain but failed to win. Their struggle was clear throughout the match. They only recorded one shot on target by Benzema and luckily enough that entered the net of Edouard Mendy to equalise Pulisic's opener. Ngolo Kante pulled out a very good performance both defensively and in attacking. He was awarded the man of the match.
Manchester City trashed PSG at their own backyard and secured a win with two away goals. Manchester City were trailing by a goal down at the end of the first half but came back strongly in the second half with goals from De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez to win the match. De Bruyne, Benzema, Ngolo Kante and Angel Dimaria are nominated as the player of the week.
