Ancelotti: “Hazard is in our plans for the next season, I can confirm”

Carlo Ancelotti denies rumours on Real Madrid planning to sell Eden Hazard. On the day before the match with Elche, Carlo Ancelotti gave an online press conference from Real Madrid City.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieiri, who covers the Belgian national team for the French radio station RMC Sport, Belgian forward Eden Hazard wants to leave Real Madrid.

Tavolieiri does not say when Hazard will leave the club, but given that the winter transfer market closes in two weeks, it appears that the winger will have to wait until the summer to depart the Spanish capital.

According to the article, certain members of Madrid's medical team believe Hazard will require surgery again, while members of the board, notably president Florentino Perez, want Hazard to continue playing in order to boost his market worth.

Hazard, probably Real Madrid's worst signing, has a deal that runs until the summer of 2024. If he actually wants to leave Madrid, however, a club insider told Managing Madrid that Los Blancos will gladly take any offer because it will allow them to remove his contract off the books.

The Italian spoke about the upcoming LaLiga matchday 22, which will be held at the Santiago Bernabéu (Sunday, 4:15pm CET)

Ancelotti on Hazard

“Hazard is in our plans for the next season, I can confirm”

"Beating them in the Copa was difficult." They're in good shape, and they'll take a similar strategy here. Because there are three critical points to play for, we'll have to be resilient and motivated."

"The team is in good shape; we're without Asensio, Vallejo, and Mariano due to muscular difficulties, but Carvajal is optimistic." Tomorrow is a fantastic day to start Hazard, and I'm hoping for a good game for him. Gareth is getting stronger physically and training with the team on a daily basis."

"There's something wrong with the calendar." It's not only a problem for Real Madrid; it's a problem for all clubs. We're not going to put any other team under any kind of duress.

We'll play with the people that are available, and that's all; however, the calendar is a mess, and it needs to be sorted as quickly as possible."

"We know our Brazilian players aspire to play for their country. They'll travel to Brazil, where the coach will make his decisions, and then they'll return. We're not going to put any pressure on anyone."
