The Ghana national football team has been shaken after a woeful but pitiful loss at the AFCON. It is principal of them to make huge changes in the Black Stars squad if they wan to stand any chance in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria.
The Black Stars has had its fair share of heroes such as Abedi Pele, Asamoah Gyan, Stephen Appiah and even Dede Ayew. As funny as it may sound, Dede Ayew has also tried as a captain. One thing is common to both the Ayew brothers and Asamoah Gyan and that is the fact that they always get criticized by their people, Ghanaians.
They are given little credit for what they have done. The Ayew Brothers are the latest in line to have faced this barrage of rejections. Rumors had it that they were planning to quit the Black Stars and surprisingly, some Ghanaians were glad about that. They felt excited and said they both didn't contribute to the national team.
As heartbreaking as it is, a few people were concerned about the future of the Black Stars without them. However, as fate would have it, it turns out that they are not leaving the team. They are not quitting and that means they still have the chance to proudly represent their country and improve.
It is quite admirable of them not to quit but they have to show forth more positive results and Ghanaians need to have patience with them. The Ayew Brothers have been the face of the Black Stars since Asamoah Gyan retired. They should be given more credit.
