Football fans of the all time top scorer for the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan have been talking and persuading the GFA to bring back their talisman to the Black Stars. Even before the Ghanaian National Football Men team were knocked out from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Tournament they still wanted him to be selected but unfortunately he was left out.

Some Ghanaians who also have opposite view about calling the former Sunderland striker and former Black Stars captain to the Black Stars. Some Ghanaians have reacted to Popular Journalist Zongo's perspective about bringing back Asamoah Gyan to the squad to face Nigeria in the World Cup play offs qualifiers.
Countryman Songo on metro TV, said that he does not support that ideal of calling Asamoah Gyan to the Black Stars. He said is isn't the coach of the Black Stars to make such decision and more over what team does Asamoah Gyan play? He went ahead to say that Asamoah Gyan has not played for his team for a longtime now.
Several people have reacted to this comment made by Countryman Songo. A very noted comment or reaction on Ghanaweb Facebook page has got people talking. The person made the point that, Asamoah Gyan is indeed great football player and he has achieved a lot for the country and himself but bringing him back to the Black Stars at this moment is like bringing Ronaldinho back to play for the Brazilian National Team.
