Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez reveals his summer plans amid Chelsea and Tottenham's interest in the Argentine striker.
Lautaro Martinez, an Argentine striker, has denied rumors of a summer transfer to the Premier League and stated his desire to stay at Inter Milan.
Chelsea and Tottenham were connected with a bid for the striker, but the 24-year-old clarified the situation and stated his objectives for the coming season.
"As of today, I have not heard any communication from the club; I intend to stay at Inter next season," he stated.
The Bull, dubbed "The Bull," scored for Argentina in their 3-0 "Finalissima" triumph over Italy at Wembley on Wednesday night, earning his 38th cap and 20th international goal.
Former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo compared the Inter striker to Sergio Aguero, while Mauricio Pochettino of Paris Saint-Germain earlier regarded him as one of the best strikers in the world.
Despite losing the Serie A title to city rivals AC Milan on the final day of the season, he has been in good form for Inter this season.
Martinez scored 25 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions in Serie A, his greatest total since joining the San Siro in 2018.
A magnificent 20-yard strike against Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16 at Anfield was one of his best goals.
A lethal relationship between Romelu Lukaku and Martinez developed during Inter's 2021 title-winning season, but a reunion between the two is more likely to happen at Inter than at Chelsea, with Lukaku rumored to be aching for a return to his former club.
Tottenham, however, is still looking to bolster their assault, with Paulo Dybala on their radar.
Dybala is set to depart Juventus at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to Inter, where coach Simone Inzaghi hopes to pair him with compatriot Martinez to form a new-look assault.
