Troy Parrott casts doubt on Tottenham's future

Troy Parrott lets it be known's been a fight attempting to make it at Tottenham.

The Republic of Ireland International joined MK Dons on loan back in July, his third brief move away in less than two years after spells at Ipswich Town and Millwall.

Still only 20, it has been over a long time since the striker made his first-team debut for Spurs, adding to his appearance count just multiple times since, last showing up for the club he joined at 15 years old in March 2020.

Talking ahead of Ireland's friendly with Belgium on Saturday in Dublin, Parrot uncovered he trusted he "expected to accomplish more" after his absence of game time with Spurs.

"It came at a time when I was in and out of the team and I recently started to understand that eventually you have a single chance at this football match-up and where I was at the time wasn't assisting me with getting to where I needed to get to," he said.

“Irealised I simply expected to accomplish more. I should have been playing to get to where I needed to get to."
