Kumasi Asante Kotoko: Questions have been raised about us in terms of performance but we are glad to find it back

Kumasi Asante Kotoko are currently the league leaders in the Ghana Premier League after displaying a scintillating performance against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday. The Ghana Premier League giants have found their form and rhythm back in the game. They are currently unbeaten in their last four matches and they have conceded just in goal in these respective fixtures. They have managed to amassed 10 points out of 12 points in 4 matches which is impressive and appreciable by their fans.

The porcupine royals beat Brong Ahafo based club Berekum Chelsea by 2-0 at Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium to leapfrog former league leaders Accra Great Olympics to be on top of the league log. Goals from in-form striker Andy Kumi and Godfred Asiamah was enough for the Red and black giants to claim all three points in the afternoon.

Andy Kumi who joined the side from tier two side Universal Academy as a replacement for Kwame Opoku has now scored in two consecutive matches and his performance is remarkable and recommended by the fans. It's coach Mariano Barretto second win in charge of Kotoko. The Portuguese is yet to concede a goal, having won his first game 4-0 against Bechem United last Wednesday.

The Kumasi based club take on second position club Great Olympics on Friday 16th April, 2021 at the Accra Sports stadium and this will be a big test for Kotoko if they are to win the league this season. This is because failure to win or secure a point from the game will give the other clubs the opportunity to be above them on the league log.
