The London club lost 2-5 against West Bromwich on 3rd April 2021 at Stamford Bridge. The worst score the club has had since manager Thomas Tuchel took up the job has been a draw up until today.
Defender, Thiago Silva was penalized a red card after already been punished with a yellow and was sent of the pitch in the 29th minute of the game. Although the blues pulled the first goal of the game by Christian Pulisic, West Brom's man Pereira pulled back a draw, then netted a second one for his side, giving them a lead before the close of the first half.
Things didn't go well in the 2nd half for the blues as they were already one man down. Was their incapability to pull back more goals due to Tiago Silva's red card? I think that wasn't the only cause. Most of the players just returned from international break and obviously would have been tired. So this was another cause of their inability to get back into the game as West Brom kept on thrushing the blues net with more goals leading to a humiliating loss for the London side.
