Prior to the extension of Kylian Mbappe's Paris Saint-Germain contract, there were rumors that the French international would sign for Real Madrid, his longtime dream club. The fears of Paris Saint-Germain fans were finally put to rest today when Kylian Mbappe signed a three-year contract with the club, denying rumors that he was moving to Real Madrid.
Because he didn't sign with Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe avoided a bullet by staying at Paris Saint-Germain. I don't see why the 23-year-old should leave PSG for Real Madrid right now. He's grinding out stats and results there. While Eden Hazard hurried to Real Madrid after leaving Chelsea at the pinnacle of his game, he clearly did not follow in his footsteps.
Competition is fiercer in the Spanish La Liga than in France's Ligue 1, and new players often experience injury crises. This is evident in the signings of Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale for Real Madrid. It's unlikely that Kylian Mbappe would shine at Real Madrid, therefore he should stick to what he knows rather than putting himself out there to compete with others.
What do you think? We'd love to hear what you have to say! You're welcome!
