Asante Kotoko is a Cheap Opponent For King Faisal - Grunsah

Bankroller of Kumasi King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grunsah has said that, their clash against Asante Kotoko is not a difficult game.

The “Insha Allah” Boys will be the guests of their city rivals, in a local derby at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in the week six clash. Both clubs have shown good form in the five week old league with Kotoko leading the pack and King Faisal following closely in second position. Alhaji Grunsah is confident King Faisal will beat Kotoko easily.

"The Kotoko game is not a difficult one as people are thinking, we are going to beat Kotoko on Sunday with or without Osman and Emmanuel Sarkodie. "With this sponsorship from Kennedy Digital Satellite, we will win the league as I said last season that we will avoid relegation, we are are winning the league this season.” He told Akoma fm.

Asante Kotoko got their season off to a bright start after coming from a goal down to beat Dreams FC 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium in week one. They added another three points from a 2-0 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium against a strong Bechem United in week two. A week three journey to the Dun’s Park saw them claim all three points in a 1-0 win over Premier League new boys, Gold Stars. Asante Kotoko returned home in week four and made light work of Eleven Wonders in a 2-0 win at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The record Ghana Premier League holders were however pegged back in the quest to make it five straight wins in the season. They drew goalless at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase against Karela United in week five. They will come up against city rivals, King Faisal in week six at the Baba Yara Stadium this weekend. Kotoko who are on 13 points, lead King Faisal by just three points and a defeat will be detrimental to their hold on the summit of the league log.
