If Hearts of Oak wins they can't win the trophy - Ashgold Communicator

The former Auroras goalkeeper who is now with Karela United said the players of the club are fully ready to compete in the 2020/21 season and will fight to annex the trophy.

He stated “Our dream is to win the league this season for Hearts of Oak fans”, Baidoo told Hearts Media, adding that “trust me this season’s GPL trophy belongs to us.” Eventhough, the club chief executive officer (CEO) Frederick Moore believes the club is on course to end their long wait for a major title.

The former Caf Champions League and Confederation Cup winners have gone 11 straight years without winning a trophy. The CEO's comments follow similar remarks by club captain Mohammed Fatawu. After close to two decades, Kosta Papic has been re-appointed by Hearts of Oak to help end a long trophy drought that continues to haunt the club.

Papic on Fox FM, “What made me to come back to Hearts of Oak was to win the league and possibly the CAF Champions League. “I believe the team has the capacity to do that and we are working on it, it is not easy but we are going to fight for it, what motivated his return to the capital-based club, the gaffer has opened up the desire to win top trophies with the team”.

The presence of this failed teams in Ghana and in Africa has done bad in the nation. Looking at Obuasi Ashantigold and Krobea Asante Kotoko who represented us in Africa, were the worst teams to do that. But, they still have the guts and bragging right to speak against their masters for not been able to win the League title over a decade now and will never win some as well.
