The Ministry of Youth and Sports headed by the Honorable Mustapha Yussif has summoned the Ghana Football Association. The invitation comes less than a day after the Senior National Men's Team, the Black Stars of Ghana exited the African Cup of Nations being played in Cameroon.
The Stars have exited from the tournament in a most dramatic and painful manner that beats the imagination of the general public. The team lost by a lone goal to nil in their first game to their Moroccan counterparts and drew in their second game with Gabon, the team however, lost in shocking manner to debutants, Comoros Islands by 2 goals to 3.
The Ministry, which is the main financier of the National Team have summoned the management body of the Black Stars, which is the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for questioning with regards to the sudden exited from the tourney in the very first stage.
The leadership of the Football Association is expected to appear before the Ministry on Friday, January 21, 2022.
