Asante Kotoko may have to look elsewhere for another coach after viral pictures show incoming coach Kamou Malo in the premises of another club in Burkina Faso. Asante Kotoko have been heavily linked with the former Burkina Faso head coach with a deal expected to be reached between the two parties.
Following reports of a verbal resignation by coach Prosper Ogum, Asante Kotoko management were reported to have established contact with some reputable coaches who expressed a desire to lead the club’s technical department, including coach Kamou Malo.
Asante Kotoko and Kamou Malo have been involved in an advanced discussions and were left with signing a deal, according to reports.
A viral picture shows Kamou Malo being unveiled by another club in Burkina Faso. Per reports, the club has signed Kamou Malo and is expected to stay and fulfill contractual obligations.
Asante Kotoko could be closing the chapter on Kamou Malo and intend to settle on another coach. Coach Prosper Ogum has tendered his resignation as head coach of the club, and will be duly compensated as agreed between the the club and the coach.
A new coach is expected to be announced by the club in coming days as they prepare for the new season.
