Hearts of Oak have been dethroned by Asante Kotoko. The porcupine warriors have won the title with a few games to spare. Hearts had a season to forget. They are in a precarious position after losing their outstanding match against Techiman Eleven wonders. There are 2 matches left to play before the season ends. Hearts are currently fourth with 48 points same as Karela United but with a better goal difference.
Berekum Chelsea is 2 points behind them with Legon Cities and Aduana Stars a further point behind. Hearts need to get something from their remaining 2 matches. If they should slack, they will be out of the top 4. They could have secured their top 4 status with a win against Eleven Wonders. It is still not far from their reach. They just need to avoid defeat in their remaining 2 matches to be secured.
They have an FA Cup final against Bechem United coming up.
