Kumasi Asante Kotoko will face newcomers Nsoatreman today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The two clubs were scheduled to play at the start of the season but due to Kotoko’s engagement in the CAF Champions League, the match had to be resecheduled.
Kotoko have played just one game in the Ghana Premier League with that being the draw against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.With their exit from the CAF Champions league, the club will now focus their attention on retaining their league title status with the new coach, Seydou Zerbo.
According to reports, the Kumasi based club will be without their key players Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Ernest Osei Poku and Fredrick Asare. All the other players will be available for the match against Nsoatreman.
Nsoatreman are 9th on the league table after playing 2 matches with one victory and a draw. Whereas Kotoko are 14th with just a point from 1 game. A win for the Porcupine warriors is assured and should their performance against Hearts of Oak be anything to go by, Kotoko should record a 3 goal win advantage.
