Barcelona are looking at alternatives following the difficult in proceeding with Erling Haaland's transfer. The Catalans are firmly in the race to sign the 20 year old striker alongside Chelsea and Real Madrid. However things seem to be taking a new twist and Barcelona's league rival, Real Madrid have emerged the favourite to land the youngster.
Barcelona have made England and Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane their second option if they fail to land Haaland. The English forward is considered one of the prolific strikers in Europe following his unerring goalscoring reputation. The 27 year old has registered 160 goals in 237 appearances in the premier league which clearly depicts how clinical he is upfront.
Kane is currently the joint top scorer in the premier league with Mohammed Salah, 17 goals each. Nonetheless, Tottenham stand a significant risk of missing out a champions league spot which happens to be a frustrating situation for the club. Barcelona would take advantage of the situation to lure the 27 year old from London this summer if Haaland's deal fail to materialize.
Barcelona believe the English forward is equally prolific as Haaland and can provide a longterm solution to their firepower deficiencies. However, Tottenham would request an astronomical sum before they allow Kane leave because of his immense importance to the club.
