Champions league team of the week has been released;Three Chelsea players and one City player.

The 2021 Champions league has finally come to an end. It ended beautifully with a blue flag everywhere on the pitch and around the world. Chelsea has ended the record book for the second time in their history. Manchester city were the favourites to win the Champions league but the so called underdogs surprised them by going in front in the first half and protecting the goal throughout the game. The shortlist for the champions league player of the week has been released. The shortlist featured three Chelsea players and one player from Manchester city.

Phil Foden was the only Manchester city player putting in much pressure when De Bruyne got injured. Mahrez and the other players were trying their best but they movements were well read.

Reece James pocketed Rahim sterling at the wings and ceased their attack from the wings after the first 5 minutes. Reece James showed strength and vitality throughout the game. 

The match winner goal scorer Kai Havertz is also on the list. His movement caused alot of treat to their opponents defence. He scored the only goal of the match securing Chelsea's their second Champions league trophy. 

Ngolo Kante was absolutely phenomenal yesterday. He seemed like a wall in Chelsea's midfield. He wasn't dribbled passed throughout the entire game stopping all the balls coming his way. He was once again called the 'omnipresent' in the match as Manchester city players testified that he was the reason they couldn't play their game as expected. He won the man of the match.
