“Please Don’t Sack us From Our Venue” - Former Kotoko Coach Pleads

Head coach of Legon Cities FC, Maxwell Konadu says they are enjoying their stay at the El Wak Stadium despite its poor nature.

The Royals have adopted the military owned stadium which has not been in the best of shapes to host premier league games. That not withstanding, Legon Cities have not lost at that venue since switching and head coach of the side, Maxwell Konadu says the decision to strip them off that venue is the preserve of the Club Licensing Authority.

“We should leave that to the Club Licensing Authority. “The FA has to decide, I mean this is our home and we have nowhere to go, we are here,” Maxwell Konadu told StarTimes. “So far we haven’t been beaten here so it’s good for us here, we are enjoying it.” Maxwell Konadu added.

Legon Cities have continually drifted away from the relegation zone in the 2021/22 league season. They currently sit 11th on the league table with 22 points from 18 matches and will next be away up North against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
