Barcelona lost their seventh game of in the Spanish league after a disturbing 1-2 defeat to Celta Vigo at Camp Nou on Sunday. The defeat saw them finally bowing out of the La liga tittle race, which has raised considerable concern about the club's dismal performances lately. The club is also very much worried about how some Barcelona stars on astronomical wages keep underperforming amid the club's dire financial situation.
According to Barca Blaugranes, the club's hierarchy is now considering taking some stringent decisions which would see them offload underperforming stars on high salaries, in order to improve the club's financial capacity and make quality additions. One of the stars who has come under serious scrutiny is French striker, Antonie Greizman. According to popular news outlet, Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona remain poised to accept any good offer for the French attacker to let him leave the club. The Catalan giants secured the Frenchman from Athletico Madrid in 2019 for €120million, however Greizman has failed to replicate his breathtaking form at Barcelona since he arrived.
After 98 appearances in Barcelona shirt, Greizman has managed to score 34 goals which is quite disproportionate to his price tag. In an interview with Spanish news outlet, El Larguero, Athletico president expressed Athletico Madrid's willingness to resign the 30 year old if the opportunity pops up. Manchester United have also shown interest in the striker and could make a summer move for the world cup winner. Barcelona is poised to take any amount around €60million to allow the frenchman leave Camp Nou this summer.
