Veteran sports journalist and Ghana's best sports commentator Kwabena Yeboah, could not hold back his tears after Ghana failed to qualify for the round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA world cup in Qatar.
The whole country was waiting for a revenge showdown between the Black Stars and Uruguay after what Suarez put Ghanaians through in the 2010 World cup when he deliberately punched the ball with his hand to prevent Ghana from progressing in that world cup.
Today's game was undoubtedly the most anticipated game for Ghanaians since the draw of groupings for the 2022 world cup. Revenge Billboards were seen on the streets of Accra, indicating how much Ghanaians could not wait to pay back Uruguay bitterly.
Blackstars latest sensation and the darling boy of the ladies, Kudus Mohammed secured a penalty for Ghana in the early part of the first half. Unfortunately, Dede Ayew failed to successfully convert the penalty as his kick was easily stopped by the Uruguayan goalkeeper.
