GPL update: Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu resigns as national U-20 coach

Accra Hearts of Oak helmsman Samuel Boadu has resigned his position as deputy coach of the national U-20 side, the Black Satellites.

The gaffer, has communicated his decision to step down from the role to the Ghana Football Association, GFA and said, his action is with immediate effect.

Coach Boadu has come under intense pressure from some quarters within the Hearts of Oak team for what they have termed luck of proper technical direction.

Sources close to Coach Boadu said he intends to fully concentrate on his duties at the capital club ahead of the upcoming season.

Hearts of Oak will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup competition next season after winning the domestic FA Cup competition in the just ended Ghana football season.

Coach Boadu has said he wants to prove a point as a top-notch coach in Ghana and, wants to achieve that with the Phobians.

His decision to step down as a national team coach will be good news to most fans of Accra Hearts of Oak who have offered him much support in recent times.

They will hope the coach gets enough time to prepare for next season after their troubles of the last campaign.
