Black Stars central defender, Mohammed Salisu will face a tough opposition in the English Football League Cup.
The Southampton central was instrumental in Southampton’s qualification to the quarter final of the English Football League Cup.
Southampton have been paired againstEnglish Premier League holders, Manchester City for the quarter finals.

Salisu Mohammed played a very important role for the Black Stars who exited the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Despite his great performance, the Black Stars failed to reach the last sixteen stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup where Ghana was paired in group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea. The Black Stars lost their opening game against former European champions, Portugal by 3-2. They managed to beat South Korea by 3-2 in their second game of the World Cup. They however failed to record a win over their old foes, Uruguay in the third and final game of the tournament and exited at the group stage.
