2020 WAFU Zone B Tournament: Black Satellites Of Ghana Book Final And U - 20 AFCON Tickets

Black Satellites of Ghana have qualified to the finals of this year’s edition of West African Football Union, WAFU, Zone B tournament in Benin, after beating Niger 5 - 3 on penalties. 

Not only booking a final ticket, the Black Satellites have also qualified to the Confederation of African Football Under - 20 Cup of nations to be held in Mauritania, 2021.

The two teams started the game with vigilance bearing in mind what was at stake.

Black Satellites skipper Precious Boah began to showcase a glimpse of pure talent in the early part of the game but his runs were curtailed by opponent’s defenders.

In the 15th minute, Niger threatened Ghana for the lead but Nathaniel Adjei was awake to clear the ball to safety.

After that, the first half did not witness any dangerous moves by both side.

The second half looked promising for Niger and Ghana but forwards were not efficient throughout.

The game was ushered into extra time after the game ended goalless in the stipulated time.

Both sides were unconvincing throughout the thirty minutes that came their way in the extra time.

It got the time of penalty shootout and Ghana converted 5, whiles Niger converted only 3.
