Hearts of Oak is bleeding and we are enjoying our league as leaders - Kofok

The decision taking by the board chairman of Ashgold FC includes, the payment of the players winning bonus and even drawn games. It was based of head coach Bashiru Hayford sacked, that supporters body also called for the removal of the club’s communication director and two management members.

The league champions suffered an early exit from the 2020 CAF Confederation League. Ghana Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak are said to have paid players their 2-months outstanding salaries when they played their mid week action with Ash gold at the Accra Sports stadium in matchday one. Reports shows that the back lock money was cleared to serve as an additional motivation for the players to go all out to win the midweek game.

This means that the Phobians don’t owe any player and management will wish that they will henceforth go all out to record convincing results in the nine remaining league matches. The Ashgold players who merit the Confederation cup all left the club for the big gangs in Ghana. The presence of this players might be a different story and due to their absence they will need just a bit of luck to organize themselves and play.

But the news reaching us indicate that Hearts of oak management has refuse to pay their players for barely two months now. Top goalkeeper Frank Boateng has left for Medeama SC. Defender Yusif Mubarik and influential midfielder Latif Anabila have also left for Asante Kotoko. Midfield combatant James Akaminko and top striker cum leader Shafiu Mumuni have also left the club during the transfer window. The team has been bolstered with new players who many believe will need time to settle.
