I Have to Sit Down With The Non-Performing Players - Worried Acheampong

Eleven Wonders have not had the best of starts to the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League with seven games cleared.

The Techiman based club picked two points from their three opening games - losing 1-0 to AshantiGold in the first before goalless draws against Berekum Chelsea and Medeama in weeks two and three. A 2-0 loss at the Baba Yara Stadium to Asante Kotoko dented their confidence in the fourth week but they recovered from the defeat to beat Elmina Sharks 3-1 at home in week five. Week six ended in a 1-0 defeat in the capital to new boys, Accra Lions and the seventh week was a 1-1 draw at home to Dreams FC.

Yaw Acheampong is Eleven Wonders Wonders head coach who is left wondering about his side’s unimpressive performance. “It [performance] wasn’t bad, it was on and off but I think we got some chances that we had to score, especially the last chance that we had.

“I don’t understand why in that distance he has to shoot, I think he has to put the ball in the angle,” Yaw Acheampong said. “I think I still have to sit them [players]down and then see what we can do.” Yaw Acheampong added. Eleven Wonders will travel as guests of Bechem United in week eight at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Wednesday, December 5.
