Chelsea fans seems to have been carried by their recent performances and feel they are now the best team in the world. After scoring 15 goals in 4 matches as they now occupy the third position with few clubs still having some outstanding.
Mendy finally conceded his first premier league goal against Sheffield United before Ziyech electric performance ensured Chelsea emerged winner with an eventual 4-1 score line. Both Ziyech and Mendy deserves praises for their performances since signing for Chelsea but they're not doing anything extraordinarily special for some fans to think they've the best players in the world.
There are lots of world-class goalkeepers in the premier league and Edoaurd Mendy doesn't come close, talk of Ederson, Allison and De Gea. Even Mendy himself said he's striving to be in their level as he's nowhere near but the fans have failed to acknowledge that he's being helped by a stabilized defence force. He's lucky not to have arrived in at a time when Chelsea had Alonso, Rudiger and Zouma as their defensive force. And as for Ziyech, time will tell if he can really call him a wizard or he's just another one season wonder.
