GFA Reveals When Technical Team And Players Will Arrive For Nigeria Clash

The Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum has opened up on when the Black Stars Technical team and the players will be arriving.

He made the revelation on Kumasi based Radio Station, Oyerepa fm on Thursday. “The Black Stars technical team led by coach Otto Addo, Chris Hughton, Didi Dramani and George Boateng will arrive in Ghana hopefully this weekend & the Black Stars team will arrive in Kumasi on Tuesday because we are expecting the players to be fully in on Monday.” He told Kumasi based Oyerepa fm. The Black Stars of Ghana will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria on March 25 at the Baba Yara Stadium for the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The return fixture is set to be held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja four days after the first leg clash. The Black Stars missed out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and are faced with a must qualification to the next edition in Qatar to placate the fans.

Ghana exited the last AFCON in Cameroon from the group stage with just a single point after a 1-0 opening defeat to Morocco, a 1-1 draw against Gabon and the final 3-2 loss to debutants, Comoros. It was their first ever group stage exit since the 2006 edition in Egypt.
