The Phobians despite managing just a single goal in the first leg of the encounter, were a toast of their fans after a great display against the Moroccan club at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday. They were however dealt a very big blow in the course of the game when left back, Raddy Ovouka picked up an injury. He was replaced by former Liberty Professionals left back, William Denkyi who did not disappoint on the day. Denkyi made some runs on the left side of attack.

The millennium champions will travel to Casablanca for their second tie game against Wydad Athletic Club to be played on Sunday, October 24 at the Mohammed V Stadium. The first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium saw defender Raddy Ovouka sustain an injury which saw his pulled out by coach Samuel Boadu and as much to the shock and sadness of the fans and the playing body with 20 minutes played in the first half.

Hearts of Oak fought tooth and nail in a bid to get more goals in each half against Wydad Athletic Club but managed on the 40th minute to scale through with a 1-0 win after full time. Forward, Isaac Mensah poked in the only goal after Salifu Ibrahim’s sublime assist which ensured that the goal will separate the two sides moving into the second leg. Raddy Ovouka’s injury according to Accra Hearts of Oak is nothing serious and will however make the squad to Casablanca for the all important second leg clash.
