Lionel Messi the Argentine and Barcelona Talisman has once again gone into the history books of football.
Lionel Messi was absolutely exceptional in Barcelona's home game against Huesca at the camp Nou on Monday, 15th March, 2021.
Barcelona won that game by 4 goals to one and Lionel Messi scored two goals in the 13th and the 90th minute respectively. He also set up a wonderful assist for La Masia youngster Oscar Minguenza.
In doing so, Lionel Messi is the second player to reach double figures for both goals (26) and assists (10) this season in all competitions, after Antoine Griezmann (13 and 11). 
However he also equaled the record of Xavi as player with most appearances for Barcelona(767), and after the game he took to his Instagram page to say that "It's a great honor to reach this number of games played with Barcelona. Thank you to all my teammates who accompanied me in these years, and to my family and friends for always being by my side."
