The senior national team which has been having so much interference in players selection has created problems for the team and the country as a whole.
According some Ghanaians there are some players who do not play regular for their clubs in Europe but are always called to represent the country due to political interference and other big men of the country.
Ghana has already qualified for the upcoming AFCON and we are looking forward to get the trophy back home this year.
The last time Ghana won the AFCON was 1992 and this has been so much years that we haven’t won this AFCON.
The FA has brought in a new head coach , a head coach who lead Ghana into the World Cup quarter finals in African soil South Africa. This was our best ever place we have gotten since we started appearing in the World Cup.
Due to the success of this coach the FA has reappointed coach Milovan who left us after the World Cup. This coach claims he has an unfinished business with the black stars as he is back for good.
Recently the new appointed coach came out with his best squad to face Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifies.
A lot of people complain about the squad saying with this players we lack the quality to compete with Senegal , Nigeria, Morocco , Algeria and other national team which have their players playing day in day out in the top leagues of Europe.
As we look through Europe there are some African players who have their parents or grandparents who are from Ghana. This players who now reside in Europe and doing best in their clubs can all earn a call up to the black stars to help beef up the squad for the next AFCON if only the FA do it best in convincing them.
Players like Mohammed Salisu who plays as a center back for the English premier league side Southampton. According to the FA sometime ago they contacted this Ghanaian player to play for the black stars but according to him he said he just arrived at the English premier league and that they should give him time to cement his place in the Southampton squad.
Also Tariq Kwame Nii-Lamtey is an English professional player who plays for England under 21 team and also plays for Brighton at the club level. Tariq Lamptey is a Ghanaian as the name shows , Tariq who has also been contacted to play for the national team as turned this offer down by his parents due to somethings that happened to their son during Ghana under 17 call up. Tariq lamptey is Ghanaian who can play for the black stars if only the FA cold fight hard to bring back this young talented player
Moreover, Callum Hudson Oddoi is also a Ghanaian who plays for England under 20 and also plays for Chelsea at the club level. Recently we saw him in Ghana during their break. He visited his dad who was a former Hearts of oak player. Hudson Oddoi has been convinced by the FA several time to switch his nationality in other to play for Ghana. The FA are still on it as they are pushing to help convince Oddoi play for the black stars.
furthermore, Inaki Williams is a Spanish player who plays as a forward for Athletic Bilbao. Inaki who has scored two goals this season is one of the players who is a Ghanaian that can join the blackstars to help beef the squad for the upcoming Afcon if and only if the FA does things right to convince the 27 year old player.
Inaddition Sheriff Tiraspol right midfielder Edmund Addo is one of the players who helped his team to crash down Real Madrid in the champions league some weeks ago. Edmund Addo who played very well against Real Madrid has been given a late call up to the blackstars squad after the injury of Alfred Duncan.
Edmund Addo is one of the players when called to represent the national team in the AFCON will help the team to gain what we are looking for for the past 40 years now.
