Barcelona secured a consecutive la liga victory at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjan on Saturday in a tough fixture against Sevilla. Crucial goals from French winger, Ousmanne Dembele and Lionel Messi saw all three points salvaged by Koeman's men. The win leaps Barcelona to the second position, two points behind league leaders Athletico Madrid and one point above their league rivals, Real Madrid.
However, Barcelona got hit with fresh injury concern, when Pedri Gonzalez suffered a muscle problem in his left leg during the game. The 18 year old midfielder had to be substituted immediately and was replaced in the 71st minutes by Ilaix Moriba. The extent of Pedri's injury is yet to be ascertained. Reports from the Blaugrana camp says, various tests would be conducted tomorrow to identify the severity.
The news came as a big blow to Barcelona and would be hoping nothing serious pan out. The young midfielder has enjoyed ample game time under Koeman this season and has proved to be a key component of the team. His absence would surely affect the catalans as their subsequent fixtures seem arduous.
