“This is no Pitch For Football” - Dreams FC Coach Slams Poor Ghana Pitch

Head coach of Dreams FC, Vladislav Viric has expressed his misgivings about the poor nature of Eleven Wonders’ home ground, the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman.

Viric, who led the “Still Believe” Boys to claw a point from the venue has attributed the undulating nature of the pitch to their inability to string good passes together. Dreams FC took the lead on the 86th minutes through a thundering strike by Samuel Boakye just a few steps away from Wonders goal area. The hosts however left it late to pull parity when Abass Ganiu turned beautifully to slot home with a left foot. Vladislav Viric was not happy with a point and has slammed the horrible state of the pitch.

“Still we didn’t keep clean sheet but to be honest, today we shared points with Eleven Wonders is very sad. “We did better than they are, one point for them, one point for us. “Second half our defence to be honest they were on big pressure because Eleven Wonders played some long balls and they played so good. “But we were not good enough to keep the ball, to move the ball and this pitch is so bad, so bad. “This is no pitch for football and a lot of we lose ball and a lot of pressure.” Vladislav Viric said.

Dreams FC have now collected 11 points from seven matches of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season. Their three wins came against Elmina Sharks, Accra Lions and Gold Stars with two defeats to Bechem United and Asante Kotoko plus two draws to Great Olympics and Eleven Wonders. Their week eight game will be against Karela United at the Dawu Park later on Wednesday, December 15.
