Ex-Ghana defender, Shilla Iliasu says the future is bright for the senior national team.
Ghana is in the hunt for a new trainer following the expiration of Otto Addo's six months contract.
The Black Stars made their fourth appearance at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar but exited at the group stage.
The Black Atars collected just three points from three group games where they lost 3-2 against Portugal before winning against South Korea by the same score line they lost against Portugal.
The Black Stars unfortunately lost their third and last group game against old foes, Uruguay and got kicked out of the tournament .
Shilla Illiasu who played at the 2006 FIFA World Cup believes the current Black Stars squad has a bright future.
“We have a future if only we don’t go outside to bring a coach again.
“The reason why I’m saying that is that, a different coach but we should try and see whether the Technical Advisor or the assistant coaches get to handle the team.
“I think we can do better or rather qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.” Shilla Illiasu told Radio Gold Sports.
