Barcelona, one of the greatest football clubs during the era of Messi, Suarez and Neymar, went up against Elche. It was a close victory for Barcelona due to Ter Stegen's poor performance during the closing minutes of the game.
Barcelona scored the first goal at the 16th minute by Blanc to give them a lead over Elche. It was a good performance so far. Gavi was able to double their lead at the 19th minute. It was getting really easy for Barcelona. during the first half.
However, during the second half, Elche were able to equalize at the 62nd and 63rd minute by Morente and Milla respectively. That was unexpected for the whole Barcelona fanbase. It was 2 - 2 now.
A goal from Gonzalez at the 85th minute gave them the win. That saved Barcelona from a tie. They are currently 7th on the table.
One player named Ter Stegen, Barca's goalkeeper, performed poorly. Some suggested that he should be sold because he is becoming a liability. Xavi, however said that Ter Stegen needs more confidence to be able to keep better and so he should be given more time.
It was a lucky win for Barcelona despite Ter Stegen's awful performance. They took the 3 points and that is what matters at the end.
