Legon Cities FC will fight till the end of the season - Former Black Stars captain

Asamoah Gyan says his current club, Legon Cities FC should not be condemned for early relegation.

The Royals are currently positioned 16th on the Ghana premier league table from 22 matches.

They have collected just 23 points in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.

The club, formerly known as Wa All Stars have picked just four points from their last five games with the win against Great Olympics.

Their current performance and point buildups have made it extremely difficult for them to climb out of the relegation zone.

The 35-year-old Gyan is struggling to find his scoring boot since joining Legon Cities in a reported $1 million dollar a year’s deal.

His playing time has also been limited by incessant injuries.

The former Al Ain forward believes notwithstanding the challenges, Legon Cities, they will fight till the end of the league in order to survive the league.

“For now we cannot be condemned for relegation although we are not lying in a good position but we will fight to the end.” Asamoah Gyan said.

Legon Cities are reportedly in the market for a new coach after strings of poor showing under the guidance of veteran trainer, Bashir Hayford.

Former Asante Kotoko coach, Maxwell Konadu might succeed under fire coach BASHIR HAYFORD who has come under intense pressure following their strings of poor showings.
