
A week ago the Super Eagles of Nigeria played against the Black Stars Ghana in the second leg of World Cup play-off at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
It was a goalless game between the two rivals in the first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
However, the Black Stars of Ghana qualified for the World Cup after getting away goal in their game against Nigeria which ended 1-1 in Abuja.
Nigeria fans who became disappointed after the game were captured in videos storming the pitch to destroy anything they come across at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
Today is exactly one week they played in Abuja and the Super Eagles of Nigeria has taken to social media to apologise to their fans and has also promised to bring joy again to their nation.
Super Eagles tweet reads;
"For your unwavering support and love, we thank you our dear fans. Things didn’t go as planned and WE ARE SORRY🙏🏾 We will soar high again…We go bring joy again. NAIJA forever!!!"
