With few days left to the return league of the El Classico which is known to be the biggest game in the world of football, La Liga has released its special football that’s going to be used for this mouth-watering fixture. This came as a reel on La Liga’s official Instagram page with French and Real Madrid center-back Raphael Varane holding the ball and wiping its surface.
About a week ago, FC Barcelona also as the Blaugrana also released its Special Edition El Classico kits for the game. Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona is the only unbeaten side in Europe’s top five leagues this year and hopes to continue this with victories in their remaining nine league fixtures to win the La Liga title.
However, in the camp of Real Madrid also known as the Galacticos, things haven’t looked well enough with their two major center-backs skipper Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane. Sergio Ramos has been completely ruled out for this fixture due to an injury he picked up on performing his national duty during the international break. Raphael Varane also tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and is also likely to miss this fixture.
The El Classico would commence at exactly 19:00 GMT this Saturday at the Alfredo di Stefano stadium in the Ciutat Esportiva de Valdebebas. The 1st leg of this fixture ended with a great 3-1 win for the Galacticos with Federico Valverde, Sergio Ramos, and Luka Modric all getting on the score sheet and the young prodigy Ansumane Fati scoring the only goal for the Blaugrana.
This fixture could be very decisive for both sides in their battle to win this season’s La Liga title. As it stands Atletico Madrid is on top with 66 points. Barcelona is a point behind with 65 points and Real Madrid with 63 points.
