Award-Winning Player Says That He Is Not Eager To Play For The Black Stars.

Bechem United Goalkeeper, Abdulai Iddrisu says that he is not eager to play the Black Stars. Iddrisu has a very exceptional Ghana Premier League season and was voted the best goalkeeper of the season. When asked about how he feels about an immediate Black Stars call-up, he said that he is hoping to play for the Black Stars but he is not too eager to play as of now.

This is what he told Ghanaweb, " I am a footballer and everybody is ready to join the Black Stars as long as you are a Ghanaian. I am playing for Bechem United and I am hoping that whatever I am doing is on the right course. I am doing my best in training so if what the coaches need is what I am doing right now and they give me a callup, Alhamdulillah. But for now, it is not something I am eager to be involved in."

Abdulai Iddrisu became the first goalkeeper to keep 18 clean sheets in 31 matches in the just-ended Ghana Premier League season. His performance earned him a call-up to the CHAN team, Black Galaxies which is popularly known as the Local Black Stars.
