Barcelona forward Antoine Griezemann has departed the Club to join his old Club Athletico Madrid. The deal is a loan with an option to buy him for €40m, however, Barcelona paid €120m for the player two years ago with a weekly wages of more than £500,000 per week.
The French striker has struggled to pick form at the Camp Nou and has refused to take a pay cut at the club.
Barcelona are rumored be interested in signing De Jong from Sevilla to replace the French man.
In other news, according to football transfer "guru", Fabrizio Romanio, Chelsea have agreed to signed Saul Niguez from Athletico Madrid on a season long loan with an option to buy. The deal went off in the afternoon but both clubs returned to the negotiation table and hope to complete the deal in hours time.
The midfielder will be in London tomorrow but he will sign his contract this evening.
The impending move for Jules Kounde has collapsed as both Sevilla and Chelsea failed to agree a fee.
