Ghanaian clubs and their taste for white coaches.
I wonder when Ghanaians clubs will trust in the local based coaches. Ghanaian teams haven't benefited that much from local coaches as compared to the local ones but then, Ghanaian clubs pays more and respect white coaches more than our own local coaches.
That chapter seemed closing when Kumase Asante Kotoko gave a lucrative deal to Maxwell Konadu at the beginning of the season. Maxwell Konadu was surprisingly sacked from his post after just six games. Coach Johnson Smith and Gazelle were made makeshift coaches and they have been performing well. We wake up today only to hear of another foreign coach in the person of Mariano Baretto.
Hearts of Oak suffered embarrassment prior to the departure of Kosta Papic and has since appointed Samuel Boadu with a deal most local coaches wouldn't have declined. Things are going on well for them now.
In all we wish Kotoko all the best with the appointment of their new coach.
