The Vice-president, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia hosted Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the President of the Confederation of Africa Football with his delegation at the Jubilee House. The CAF President who is in the country to partake in the Youthconnekt Summit discussed with the Vice-president, among other things, how football can be developed on the continent to unearth the talent of the teeming youth on the continent to create employment opportunities from it. They also discussed how to make straighten clubs on the African continent to enhance the competitiveness of inter-club competitions on the continent; the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Patrice Motsepe and his entourage are in the country to participate in the Youthconnekt Summit. The YouthConnekt Africa Summit is an annual convening that connects youth from across the continent and beyond with policy influencers, political leaders, and public, private, and development sector institutions to engage, discuss, design, and accelerate youth empowerment efforts at a continental level.
The 2021 edition of the Youthconnekt Summit is hosted by the Government of Ghana in partnership with the United Nations Development Program ( UNDP). It is aimed at providing the platform for those engaged in youth development to discuss how the youth can be positioned to take advantage of what the African Free will bring.
