The Ghana Premier League will start in October. We are looking at the teams that are likely to win the league.
Medeama SC are expected to rise and contend for the premier league next season. They finished 5th last season. The team was on the 2nd position before sacking coach Samuel Boadu who subsequently won the league with Hearts of Oak.
#4. Real Tamale United (RTU)
The Pride of the North is set to shock the world by contesting for the league title 8 years since being relegated from the league. They are set to be the money team in Ghana with a lot of big men supporting the club. They have so far received donations for more than 3 billion Old Ghana Cedis. They were the champions of the division one Zone 1. The finance will back them up to buy quality players with their experience coach.
#3. Asante Kotoko
Fabulous Kumasi Asante Kotoko ended the league on the 2nd position last season after a tight rase with bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak. The Fabulous are expected to appoint a new coach after terminating the contract of Coach Bareto. Kotoko has not been consistent and does not have patience with coaches as a result being ranked 3rd to contest for the league.
2. West African Football Academy
The West Africa Football Academy finished the league on the 3rd position. The "Sogakope" boys always impress from the start of a new league but has never won the league before. For the experience gathered, the academy boys can now prove a point by winning the Premier League.
1. Accra Hearts of Oak
The future looks exciting for the current Ghana Premier League Champions. They have so far completed the signing of four players including Gladson Awako from Accra Great Olympics ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign. The rainbow club continues to improve under coach Samuel Boadu and would not be a surprise at all to defend the Ghana Premier League.
