Child Prodigies; Ghana Is Proud of These Children for Putting The Country on The World Map

Everyone has something he or she is very good at. The only challenge is knowing what you are good at to work to improve upon it. Some people discover their talent early enough in life and work to enhance it. Aside from unearthing your talent, it takes an enabling environment to help build you build your potentials. If have the right people around you who encourage you and motivate you, you can make an impact not just in Ghana but the world over. Over the years, Ghanaians have shown the world how talented they are in football, music, academia among others. 

This article seeks to throw the spotlight on Ghanaian children who have put the country on the world map through their talents. These children in no particular order include;

DJ Switch; born Erica Armah Tandoh, the young prodigy is a disc jockey. DJ Switch is multi-talented, she sings, acts, and even is a motivational speaker. She hit the limelight when she kept the audience and viewers on their feet when she participated in and won the 2017 edition of the famous TV reality show, Talented Kids.

DJ Switch has kept the momentum and has won the heart of many both locally and internationally. She was featured by Roc Nation, Jay-Z's entertainment company in 2019 in their Black History Month, after she became the youngest person to win Ghana's Annual DJ Awards the preceding year. DJ Switch was listed among the top 100 child prodigies from around the world and grabbed the Global Child Prodigy Award in the DJ category.

Kelvin Odartei; is an old student of the Chintan M/A Basic School in Accra. Kelvin became popular and went viral when videos of him driving his own built car on the last day of his peppers. When interviewed, he said he started building his car when he was fourteen years old.

Abraham Attah; is a multiple award-winning actor who is currently based in the United States of America. Abraham made his debut in acting when he starred in Beast of All Nations in 2015. He played the character of Agu, the young soldier in the movie. He was awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Award for the best young actor.

These children must be celebrated to encourage others to emulate their feet.
