Bongani Zungu seems to have dug himself a whole he cannot get out of at Rangers with Steven Gerrard confirming the worst about their situation.
Bongani Zungu joined Rangers this year and was tipped to be a great addition to the side. It was all going well until Zungu and five other teammates were caught partying late into the night last Sunday.
The players were caught breaching Covid-19 protocols in Scotland and the consequences may see them miss a good number of games. Gerrard confirmed his disappointment and that he will look to continue with players who are professional and want to play in the team.
"I think that would be fair to say, yes," he said, according to Glasgow Live.
"That will take care of itself and we'll move forward with the players who have remained professional and want to be part of a successful team. We spoke as a group and I explained the situation to them.
We're at such an important time of the season with the fixtures coming up that we can't be worrying about it or letting our focus slide."
Zungu has so far featured in just 15 matches and is yet to register a goal or an assist since his arrival.
