God Is Fighting For Us - Ashanti Gold's CEO Reveals

The 2022/2023 BetPawa Premier League has been put on hold because of a court injunction that is placed on it. Ghana Football Association (GFA) puts BetPawa Premier League on hold due to court injunction filed by Obuasi Ashanti Gold at the Human Rights High Court.

In May 2022, Ashanti Gold were demoted from the Ghana Premier League to the Division II, because they were involved in a match fixing scandal. Ashanti Gold constantly wrote to the Ghana Football Association that they were not involved in any match fixing, but nothing was done about it.

In order for Ashanti Gold to clear their name and go back to the Premier league, they sent the issue to a high court and now the league has been put on hold because of a court injunction.

Ashanti Gold's CEO or owner, Dr Kweku Frimpong has talked about the court injunction and the league that is currently on hold. On Akoma FM, Dr Kweku Frimpong said that, God is fighting for them. He told the club fans and stakeholders to remain calm for the court to pass their judgement because only the court has power to ban Ashanti Gold and not the GFA.

He said, "God is fighting for us, let us all remain calm and wait for the court to pass it's rightful judgement. "It is only the court that can decide whether the GFA has the power to ban ASHGOLD, more please remember that the courts of our land are powerful than any other body including GFA."
