Barcelona have stepped up their interest in signing 20 year old Norwegian hitman, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker has been on a scintillating form since he arrived at Borussia Dortmund in 2020. His unerring goalscoring form has attracted interest from several European clubs including Barcelona. Latest news from the catalan camp claim, Barcelona transfer team have made Erling Haaland a priority this summer.
The club divulged earlier, their inability to make high profile signings due to their financial situation. However, Barcelona have now decided to outpace the host of competitors to enlist the 20 year old at the earliest. To make the transfer possible, the club has intended to offload a number of stars at the club to make Haaland's transfer possible.
Barcelona have decided to sell Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Phillippe Coutinho, Antonie Greizman and Martin Braithwaite who are all on hefty salaries at the club to make funds available to land Erling Haaland. A transfer to Barcelona would be a big blow to Barcelona's fierce league rival, Real Madrid who have also shown interest in the striker.
