The world of football is coming to a standstill today with tensions set to rise as UEFA is set for the Champions league group stage Draw slated today, August 26, 2021 for the 2021/2022 season . The event is being held in the Turkish capital, Istanbul at 18:00 CET.
The draw will be covered by several media platforms and streamed on the official website of UEFA, UEFA.com .
Ghanaian legendary midfielder and Chelsea legend Michael Essien has been called on to be a special guest of honor and will be assisting in the Champions league draw today for the 2021/2022 season.
The Champions league group draw will be determined by draw pots which will be confirmed before the draw. A total of thirty-two teams will be split into 8 groups of four each. Out of these 32 teams, twenty six teams qualified automatically from their local leagues with the remaining six(6) being determined by champions league qualification play offs.
